Inspiration Gallery

"Confidences pour confidences" exhibition

Pavilion 7.2

WE’RE DARING to create a gallery exhibition to showcase the tête-à-tête. For the first time ever, EquipHotel has created a space designed as a mini-museum to play host to four designers and their take on the perfect seat for conversing, talking and sharing. That’s why the new Inspiration Gallery is featuring a new exhibition called “Confidences pour confidences”, giving carte blanche to four talents to showcase four tête-à-têtes (also known as conversation benches) in four different 30m2 settings.

Designer Fanny Perrier, architect Marco Lavit, interior architect Oscar Lucien Ono and the creative duo of interior architects Marthe Simon & Paul Peller took part and set their tête-à-tête chairs in a winter garden, a dressing room, a salon and a space designed as a spa lobby, creating a way to show a piece of furniture differently by focusing on the experience.

Four spaces

Nothing to hide. Let's dare to reveal ourselves, for an encounter

For his take on the tête-à-tête chair, Italian architect and designer Marco Lavit designed a dressing room with sleek simple lines and no frills, combining structure and minimalism. It's a radical statement that embodies a place where you linger, a place where couples meet and wait for each other.

The focal point is the tête-à-tête seat, inviting two people to converse, whisper and tell each other secrets... The end result is a lot of feeling, without ostentation. Beauty and utility. The aim is to go straight to the essentials, daring to go against the grain, to use non-colours, to be non-conformist - in short, to explore all possible avenues.

The bath salon

Conversation is at the heart of interior architect and designer Oscar Lucien Ono’s design. With “The bath salon”, his design takes visitors into an unclassifiable hybrid space, part bar, part bathing salon, part boudoir, part dressing room... anything is possible. Anything goes, mixing genres, styles and stories, where traditional craftsmanship can be found alongside 3D printing creations made of recycled plastic.

Rules change, trends come and go. Oscar Lucien Ono has rethought the way in which a tête-à-tête seat receives guests, subtly playing with the harmony of time, tones and materials. Welcome to his aesthetic and poetic parallel universe.

La Pinède

The prelude to the spa, designed by the interior design duo Marthe Simon and Paul Peller, is an intimate, hybrid space, a warm, gentle cocoon.

It's a room designed to encourage visitors to take a moment where time stands still, to contemplate, to take a break before enjoying a moment of relaxation at the Spa.

In this unique timeless bubble, the beauty of craftsmanship is given pride of place, along with wood as a primary raw material.

The herbal tea bar, the natural scents of the materials used in the room (wood, oils, etc.) etc. complete the scene and invite you to daydream.

The blue garden

Fanny Perrier’s “Blue Garden”, invites visitors to a twilight journey as well as a sensory experience. It’s a setting inspired by the magic of Venice and the tranquillity of its lagoon at dusk, where visitors come to explore shades of blue of an imaginary winter garden, which celebrates Italian craftsmanship and artistic collaborations of renown, including Botteganove for the design of a ceramic bamboo trellis.

Other examples include the lighting fixtures by Fortuny, the walls adorned with Iksel blue sisal, and the chaise longue tête-à-tête in silver-plated metal designed by the designer, which comes from the workshops of Porta Romana.
